The first week is almost done… we still have 5 more weeks to go. 💪🏼💪🏼
We know that the impact of COVID-19, social distancing and isolation can make us feel anxious, bored, stressed or worried.
All of the simple things we used to do before the virus such as going to school and work, going out with friends, visiting our family, playing sports, etc… have changed.
Going easy on ourselves and take some time for self-care can give us a sense of control during the uncertain time we are living in for now.
Exercising, eating well, getting a good night’s sleep and staying connected with friends and family will help us stay physically and mentally healthy.
We are also used to having our own routines to help guide our days.
Establishing a new routine for the lockdown period will help us to preserve a sense of a stable “new normal”.
Think about the parts of your usual routine you like the most and find ways to make it happen such as having lunch with friends via video call or finding online gym classes.
It’s very important to take breaks and remember that being productive is not always the biggest goal in our current state.
It’s ok to take some time just for us. Be kind to yourself. Spare a moment to take a deep breath or step outside into the fresh air. You can also plan your breaks to do something that makes you feel calm and happy.
Staying informed with COVID-19 daily updates are a very important part of our lives, but constantly tuning in to news can be overwhelming and increase anxiety.
Make sure you are getting your updates from trusted sources such as governments websites in Australia and try to limit our media intake.
We hope you have a great weekend and remember…
If you are going out for one of the four reasons, mask up! 😷😊
